Heritage Home Deck Re-build
Kerr House is a registered heritage house in North Vancouver. We had the unique privilege of re-building the expansive back deck, re-creating all the original details. The existing deck had started to rot after 25 years, which is a long time for a deck in the Lower Mainland. The Traslo West crew deconstructed the rotting deck, framed the structure for the new deck, built new stairs and replaced the French doors. A waterproof torch-on membrane was applied to the structure and composite decking was installed for a finished walking surface. Cedar siding and soffits, curved balusters, corbels on the beams, and an ornate paint colour scheme brought the past vibrantly to life.
